Science Museum IntroductionYeongju city

Beans have been cultivated in the Korean peninsula since the prehistoric times. Likewise, historical resources show how ancient Korean people cultivated beans. Thus, beans have long been a staple of our people. Now, they have become the health food of choice for people around the world. Beans have unlimited potential. In the future, they can help resolve environmental issues, and replace oil as an industrial resource.
The “Soy World Science Museum” was built to carry on the legacy of beans as a traditional heritage of the Korean people. Consequently, the Museum was created to study the significance and the potential value of beans from  historical, economic, and cultural standpoints. The Museum hopes to play a leading role in creating a ‘brighter future with beans’ by establishing a consensus on the reason beans are special, and by developing the value of beans as a resource.
